A grounded fae. A conflicted dragon. An inescapable bond.

Assassin and fae, Lacey plays by the rules. When fellow assassin, Chloe, disappears, Lacey’s creator sends her on a mission to gather intel and recover the vampire. Much to Lacey’s dismay, dragon shifter August is also sent along to watch her.

August was many things, but a babysitter wasn’t one of them. He doesn't like that he has to be responsible for one of the director's creations. But it doesn’t take long for him to start to see the fae in a new light as their bond forms.

As their adventure leads to a strong desire for freedom to truly spread her wings, Lacey must make a difficult decision when she finds Chloe-does she turn her in, or use her knowledge to gain her own freedom to be with August?
